About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Assistant School Age Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for school-aged children. You will work closely with the lead teacher to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children in the program. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining open communication with parents and families, as well as participating in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
As an Assistant School Age Teacher, you will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. You will also use your knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices to create engaging and educational activities for children. Additionally, you will use your ability to work collaboratively with a team to ensure a cohesive and effective program. Your experience with behavior management techniques will be essential in creating a safe and positive learning environment for all children. Finally, your bilingual skills will be an asset in communicating with families who speak Spanish.
Compensation details: 15-16.5 Hourly Wage

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check
- 1 year experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
- Some completion of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- CPL II or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire (CDA sponsorship available)
- Valid OH Driver's License
- Assist the lead teacher in creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for school-aged children
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children in the program
- Maintain open communication with parents and families
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
- Assist with daily classroom activities and routines
