The Data Systems Specialist I is responsible for participating in the data configuration and other data initiatives of integrating Clever Devices systems and customers systems. The Data Systems Specialist I will work closely with the Data Systems Manager, Data Systems Team Leaders, project teams, development teams, engineering teams and customers to provide new and existing features as it relates to data to all applications. Ultimately the Data Systems Specialist I is responsible for building and maintaining the databases used at Clever Devices and ensuring they are in sync with the customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participates in data configuration and other data initiatives addressing both new and existing systems
- Works closely with the Data Systems Manager, Data Systems Team Leaders, project teams, development teams, engineering teams and customers to provide new and existing features as it relates to data to all applications
- Analyzes requirements of projects during design phases
- Configures and implements database solutions using a wide variety of technology, including, but not limited to, SQL Server
- Identifies performance issues and work with more senior team member to troubleshoot the problem.
- Participates in defining and promoting ‘best practices’ relating to database configuration to the organization
- Performs analysis and reviews on complex applications being released into production
- Assists team in other duties as needed
Skills Required:
- 1 to 4 years experience maintaining and administrating databases
- Working knowledge of SQL scripting preferred (not required).
- Working knowledge of relational database architecture and design
- Experience participating in successful data warehousing implementations
- Moderate to strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to learn and work as a member of the team
- Strong written and oral communication skills with good attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a complete manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency with software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and ability to learn new software programs such as Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent major

The compensation range posted for this position represents the anticipated minimum and maximum compensation for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate.
