We are continuing to grow, and are looking for a Product Lead Director to join our team.
The Product Lead Director is responsible for managing the product planning and product strategy functions of the Product Managers and Product Specialists. The Product Lead Director is also responsible for ensuring that the product development efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Product Managers and Product Specialists conduct all product lifecycle activities including gathering product requirements, defining product vision, and working with Engineering to release quality products, on-time.
- Works with Sales and Marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
- Oversees definition of product strategy and roadmap delivered by the Product Managers and Product Specialists
- Oversees Product Requirement Documents (PRD’s) with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Serves as an expert with regards to competition
- Performs product demonstrations with Sales as required
- Oversees establishment of pricing as well as revenue and profitability forecasts
- Oversees development of Sales tools and collateral materials
- Champions the product opportunities within the company
- May recommend product enhancements and provides overall projected budget for such
- Briefs and trains sale force and Project Managers
- Briefs press and analysts in conjunction with Marketing for the purpose of press tours
- Serves as leader and product expert within the company
- Works with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Is responsible for productivity of Product Managers and Product Specialists
- Manages, develops and retains staff
Skills Required:
- 15 years Product Manager experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
- 5 years development experience in a technology environment
- Superior Analytical skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong budgeting and cost/profitability forecasting skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a complete manner
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook as well as ability to learn new software programs such as Axapta
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technology related discipline, or equivalent experience required
