We are seeking a Program Manager, with transit industry experience and a proven track record, to manage multiple project workstreams under a large-scale program in a complex environment. This role would be responsible for managing the customer’s individual project scope(s), schedule, and budget in addition to managing the customer relationship across the full lifecycle of Clever Devices’ transit solution deployment with visibility to upstream business development opportunities and downstream service and maintenance activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects within the customer’s Clever Devices Integrated Technology Solution program, including planning, organization, and implementation of project activities, interfacing across multiple teams and departments, including central office and depot locations.
- Manage all related program activities, including weekly internal and customer-facing status meetings, resourcing, risk mitigation, issue tracking, schedule and planning regarding strategic prioritization of activities.
- Provide strong project communication to the customer and internal stakeholders to meet program requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Interface with cross functional departments (Product management, Engineering Design, Installation, Production and Field Service) to ensure successful execution for their scope areas of the projects.
- Provide overall direction and control of program activities including monitoring the critical path and implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform weekly review of the project deliverables, software and hardware, and report on project performance (schedule, scope, budget, resources) monthly.
- Ensure ISO27001 compliance with established company policies, project management processes, methodologies, tools, and templates.
- Partner with Business Development on monthly strategic priorities to progress sales opportunities with the customer.
- Participate in proposal preparation, including standards of work and specifications, estimation of product and service costs.
- Participate in negotiation and administration of contracts including support, maintenance, and professional services.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Service teams for escalation of support and maintenance related issues with the solution mitigating impact to the customer’s day-to-day operations.
Skills and Requirements:
- 10 years of experience delivering technology integration projects within the Transit Industry.
- 5 years of experience as an Integration Manager/Project/Program Manager on large-scale ($25M USD ) technology integration projects.
- B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline
- PMP certification, nice to have.
- High emotional intelligence with ability to build strong relationships.
- Executive level communication ability - demonstrated through verbal and written communication.
- Ability to set expectations with clients in a win-win environment.
- Autonomous and highly organized with high attention to details.
- Ability to prioritize and proactively resolve program related issues on a fast-paced, aggressively scheduled project with a strong bias for action.
- Travel required for onsite at customer’s facility in New Jersey up to 3x weekly and to the Woodbury, NY headquarters as required.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as ability to learn new software programs such as Microsoft Dynamics, JIRA.
