Job Summary :
- The Systems Engineering Team Lead is responsible for leading the deployment of complete Transit based Systems that include Clever Devices products combined with complementary technologies, 3rd party systems, databases and enabling user interfaces to monitor and manage Transit specific operations. This is including the deployment of hardware products and interfaces, to provide a holistic solution that meets customer requirements as contracted by the Transit Authority.
- The Systems Engineering Team Lead works closely with all Clever Devices departments to analyze the customer requirements and required functionality early in the project cycle; support the customer design reviews, conduct the Factory Acceptance Testing with the Customer, and lead the subsequent deployment at the Customer site. Manage, develop, and participate in the System Acceptance Testing with assigned team.
- Systems Engineering Team Lead manages a team of Systems and Project Engineers. Responsibilities include resource allocation to assigned projects, acts as a mentor to all assigned staff and aids in the development and analysis of collected Clever Devices Proprietary data and intellectual property.
- The Systems Engineering Team Lead is responsible for the overall success of their team's assigned projects and coordinates all system development and integration tasks to include design, integration, and formal testing. Team Lead also serves as a point of escalation to all projects assigned within their Teams.
- The Systems Engineering Team Lead is responsible for managing a smaller group of Systems and Project Engineers that handles successful deployment of ITS Systems proposed to Clever Devices customers. Additional responsibilities include training internal and external resources in Clever Devices products and the use of its intellectual property.
Primary Responsibilities :
Provides training and mentoring to new engineers on processes and Clever Devices products and intellectual property of Clever DevicesParticipates in the creation of tools, process and procedures to improve the overall system deployment efficiencyMaintain a good working knowledge of Clever Devices software and products.Understanding of Clever Devices specific Application Layer ProtocolsUnderstanding and troubleshooting integration of Clever Devices proprietary communications applicationsSupport Product Management and Engineering in the definition of software and hardware products and interfaces.Plans, Supervises, and delegates daily activities of their Defined teamMonitors activities of the team to ensure on-time accurate delivery of servicesManages resources both with respect to personnel development and resource planning for projectsManages, Monitors and reports on the overall technology and system level quality assuranceManages team member assignment and allocationsWorks with Product Management Directors to ensure proper delivery of software, the development for project deployment requirements, as they relate to system design integrated with Clever Devices productsWorks closely with other departmental managers for success of Clever DevicesServes as senior technical resource on system troubleshooting, issue identification and resolution coordinationConducts project reviews with the team, joint activity with the Program ManagersAssesses, and communicates project priorities assigned with their team and escalates as needed for priority decisions to the VP of Systems EngineeringProvides regular reports on department activities to Vice President of Systems EngineeringDevelop and review the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) plan.Lead the FAT and customer presentations.Document parameter and other changes carried out during the test and the deployment phase.Develop and review the System Acceptance Test (SAT) planLead the SAT and client demonstrations.Ensure System compatibility and interoperability of all sub-systems.Manage and document system configurations.Ensures the deployment of the solution is successful.Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input / output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary while documenting the same using the ticketing system.Analyze system, server, application, network, and input / output device performance.Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration and processes.Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Project Managers on all projects.Skills Required :
