JWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry-Level Paralegal to support our legal team in a variety of tasks. The paralegal will assist attorneys in the preparation and management of legal cases and documents, conduct research, and perform administrative duties. This role is ideal for candidates with strong organizational and communication skills, a passion for law, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct legal research using online databases, libraries, and other resources.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring that documents are properly filed and up to date.
- File legal documents with the court and other governmental agencies.
- Manage calendars, including scheduling meetings, court appearances, and deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information or relay messages.
- Assist in the discovery process, including document review and organizing evidence.
- Prepare and proofread legal documents for accuracy.
- Provide administrative support such as answering phones, drafting correspondence, and managing office supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow legal and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate (preferred).
- Basic understanding of legal terminology and processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
- Previous legal experience or internships in a law firm or legal department (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
