Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Auto Body Technician is to provide a superior customer experience by meticulously assessing and repairing vehicles to their pre-accident condition.
- Execute the WOW plan consistently.
- Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
- Use various tools to repair vehicle sections.
- Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage.
- Realize car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts.
- Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
- Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
- Weld and attach or fit parts into place.
- Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint.
- Ensure all work has been executed correctly by inspecting vehicles after repair.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
