Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS Job Details A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night PCU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. Job Requirements 2 years of unit experience. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Schedule Information 12 hour shifts: 0630-1830, 1830-0630. Weekend Requirements: Every third. Holiday Requirements: Rotating with perm staff. Floating Requirements: Yes to MedSurg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients. Unit Specific Information 1 week of unit/department specific orientation. Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue. Additional Details WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE/SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED. Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults, Cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, renal failure. RNs required to titrate drips: Yes. Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin. Charge Nurse on each shift: Yes, does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes. Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes, 1:12 ratio.
