What You'll Be Doing
- Training closely with the Senior Accounting Systems Specialist to learn system architecture, best practices, and support procedures for the Odessa Lease Management System.
- Assisting with the configuration and administration of the Odessa Lease Management System to support accounting and operational needs.
- Supporting integration efforts between Odessa, Salesforce, and other enterprise systems by writing basic SQL queries and performing system testing.
- Participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver system enhancements.
- Working with Accounting and Technology teams to gather and document business requirements for Odessa improvements.
- Supporting process optimization by troubleshooting system issues and identifying opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Maintaining documentation for Odessa-related processes, configurations, and system updates.
- Shadowing the SVP of Finance to gain a foundational understanding of the Odessa build and collaborating with Technology team members to learn configuration and system tools.
- 1 or more years of accounting or financial systems experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic experience with SQL or other data query tools.
- Familiarity with ERP or lease management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and an eagerness to learn system configuration and integration concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite tools.
- 2 years of experience working with ERP systems such as Odessa, SAP, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with GAAP or lease accounting principles.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Exposure to Salesforce or integrated system environments.
- Experience working in leasing or financial services.
- This role is intended for an early- to mid-career professional who will receive mentorship and exposure to system architecture, accounting principles, and ERP integration within a fast-paced FinTech environment.
- The position will begin with hands-on training alongside the Senior Accounting Systems Specialist and SVP of Finance, offering exposure to the Odessa system build before fully integrating into the Technology team within Dev/Engineering.
