We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Quality Assurance to lead our quality and food safety programs at a state-of-the-art facility. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, implementation, and management of comprehensive quality and food safety programs, ensuring compliance with SQF and other regulatory standards.
- Ensure that all products meet federal, state, and local regulations, as well as customer requirements. Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory updates.
- Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and oversee internal audits to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
- Utilize data to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and drive quality initiatives across the facility.
- Build and mentor a high-performing quality team, providing training and development opportunities to ensure consistent application of best practices.
- Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and establish preventive measures to minimize risk and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Partner with production, supply chain, and R&D teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all aspects of the operation.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving initiatives that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
