A four-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Quality Management is required for this position
Four or more years of experience leading a quality assurance team at a manufacturer and ten or more years in a quality role at a manufacturer is also required to be considered
Travelling in the United States and Mexico is up to twenty percent
Pay is up to $90,000

No remote as this is an onsite position

This full time, permanent Manager of Manufacturing Quality Assurance career opportunity is at a growing, financially strong, diversified, custom Original Equipment Manufacturer. The company has added four additional manufacturing sites in the past decade. Because of the diversification of the company products, economic downturns have little effect on the company. Employees are treated so well that many stay till retirement. The company is expanding staff to keep up with the ever-increasing customer demand for their high-quality products. The company is implementing new strategies and becoming very state-of-the-art. A company focus is using science for engineering and improving the production technology.
This career opportunity is at the corporate headquarters. The successful candidate should be responsible for the following :
Supervising a staff of five direct reports, which could grow to 12 direct reports
Driving the advancement of quality throughout multiple manufacturing sites
Guiding and partnering with manufacturing and sales to provide customer-based quality improvement
Creating and implementing a comprehensive quality strategy to further quality initiatives throughout the various manufacturing sites
Participating with senior management with the goal of integrating quality into business strategies and decisions
Creating policies related to quality
Liaising with customers to ensure quality needs are being met
Traveling up to 20% to the various customer sites and manufacturing sites in the United States and one in Mexico
Proactively addressing any quality-related issues
Making sure quality-related issues are documented, investigated and resolved
Making sure quality standards and regulations in compliance
The background of the successful candidate will include the following :
A four-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Quality Management
Four or more years of experience leading a quality assurance team at a manufacturer
Ten or more years in a quality role at a manufacturer
Possess the ability to travel in the United States and Mexico up to twenty percent
Possess a solid work history
Being a US citizen or green card holder
Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
Salary : $90,000
