What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer - Civil position at Client Staffing Solutions Inc?
Plans and manages project activities related to specific technical expertise for a wide variety of engineering projects including civil and environmental engineering and consulting for industrial, commercial, and municipal clients. Assists in identifying project opportunities, developing proposals, and developing and maintaining client relationships. Manages project schedules, and provides technical consultation services to project teams and clients.
A. Administrative / Management Responsibilities
1. Thoroughly document and maintain files for assigned projects and field activities.
2. Communicate work progress and work scope modifications to project staff.
3. Performs all activities in accordance with all state, federal, and local laws and regulations and with all applicable safety codes.
4. Responsible for budget preparation, invoicing, and accounts receivable.
5. Mentor and train Staff Engineer and Technicians.
B. Technical Responsibilities
1. Achieve target utilization goal of 80 percent or greater.
2. Functions as project manager for select projects and activities.
3. Adheres to and reviews project budgets and monthly invoices.
4. Mentor and train Staff Engineer on project tasks.
5. Assist with the utilization of professional services technologies, specifically PC-based software packages for analysis and plan preparation including but not limited to CAD and other design software.
6. Evaluate field results, write and review technical reports with recommendations for review by Senior Engineer.
7. Provide technical consultation to project teams and delegate work assignments to the internal team.
1. Conducts site visits and prepares cost proposals for new and ongoing projects.
Reviews project budgets and work-in-progress for client invoicing. Communicates services to potential clients.
2. Build and maintain familiarity with current federal, state, and local standards, regulations and requirements for both work conducted in-house and client needs.
3. Assists in the development of new policies and procedures as they relate to generic proposals, generic technical reports, and standard operating procedures.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
