Our client is a very well established and growing manufacturer of metal, fiberglass, and wood components, and they have an immediate opening for a Production Operations Manager who will be overseeing 2 plants, one in the Memphis area, and one an hour away in MS. 2 Plant Managers will report to them Must have SAP and a strong background in inventory planning, control, etc, along with strong manufacturing background.Position Summary : The Regional Production Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and
optimizing production operations in Tennessee and MS This role involves managing multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring operational efficiency, meeting production targets, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a proven track record in manufacturing operations and supply chain management.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement regional production plans and strategies aligned with company
objectives.
Oversee daily operations of multiple manufacturing facilities within the region.
Manage production schedules, staffing, and equipment utilization to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Analyze production performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage and develop regional production teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and supply chain.
Manage regional budgets and control expenses.
Ensure compliance with environmental and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
Proven track record in managing multiple production facilities.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
SAP background and a strong background in inventory management and planning
