Estimator

Come Join the Winning Team!   Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Estimator to work out of one of our office in Donora, PA.  Estimators prepare bid proposals for customers using cost estimates and price structures.  Will also perform technical and commercial evaluations of customer requirements, interpret blueprints and capable of estimating technical designs.    Benefit Highlights: Weekly pay Competitive hourly pay based on previous experience Paid Time Off Low affordable rates for Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance as well other benefits such as 401k with company matching, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance Growth Opportunities Essential Duties: Prepares work to be estimated by gathering vendor quotes, blueprints, specifications, and related RFQ documents. Identifies material requirements by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related RFQ documents. Obtain pricing from external sources for any items not produced in our facility. Presents quotations to clients based upon their technical and commercial requirements; to an accurate professional standard. Use of  Microsoft Excel and Word. Maintain a healthy and safe working environment. Shift:  7:00am - 3:30pm Ideal Candidate: 2 year degree in Business or  similar background with experience in estimating engineered pipe supports, or experience in estimating wastewater projects, take-offs. Or experience in a metal fabrication shop with estimating related focus Or a CAD Drafter with experience in the pipe support field Or a combination of experience and education. Proficient in basic math skills including: computation, fractions, percentages, basic measurements to include basic geometry and trigonometry. Extensive knowledge of pipe supports, pipe hanger take-offs, and other product offering related to pipe support design. Have strong computer software skills, ability to learn applications quickly. Team player mentality a must; communication, collaboration, and motivation to follow through critical. Be able to multitask and work quickly and efficiently without constant supervision.   We specialize in the manufacture and distribution of a complete line of pipe hangers and supports for commercial and industrial applications since 1913.
