V&S Schuler Utilities, Inc is an established and reputable electric utility steel fabricator with locations in Canton, OH, Middlefield, OH, Muskogee, OK, Trenton, NJ, and Elberton, GA.
We currently have an opening for a professional High Voltage Utility Estimator/Project Manager located in our Canton, OH office. This individual will possess the necessary skills, along with have a working knowledge in the utility field and has desired interest to join our committed team. Job Responsibilities
· Review potential project related bid documents and interpret bid requirements and project material / services specifications.
· Comprehend pertinent bid documents and assess project requirements and identify potential risks.
· Determine and work to maintain required delivery timeframes and assemble project materials and services delivery schedules.
· Prepare accurate material quantity takeoffs and solicit manufacturers for associated material pricing and lead times.
· Review manufacturer quotes for cost effectiveness and best lead times.
· Ability to develop material & services provision / cost estimates and assist in completion of bid proposals for submittal.
· Follow up with customers to meet their needs and secure purchase orders.
· Assemble & provide bills of material, approval drawings and material catalog cut information.
· Attend and participate in project meetings with engineering firms, customers and clients to discuss ordered project material and associated delivery status.
Qualifications
· Minimum three – five years’ experience with a High Voltage Utility background
· Excellent computer related skills utilizing MS Office Suites and other programs
· Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
· Working knowledge of structural steel & high voltage equipment is desired.
· Understanding of principals and concepts of structural and electrical design is desired.
· An Associate’s / Bachelors’ degree and or experience in related technical field is desired.
