POSITION: Finance Revenue Audit Manager
WAGE: $65,000/YR.
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible to for supervising the revenue audit function and staff to ensure efficient and accurate audit functions are conducted as scheduled to ensure operating compliance with internal and external controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supervises, trains, coaches, guides, and mentors audit staff in the collection, organizing, and analyzing of daily financial paperwork from the Casino gaming operations and non-gaming operations.
- Reviews and reports on all statements prepared by the Revenue Auditors for accuracy and unusual occurrences.
- Investigates variances, identifies discrepancies, and reports discrepancies to appropriate departments.
- Reviews and approves exception reports, as necessary.
- Furnishes internal reports, revisions, and updates and external reports, as necessary.
- Assists in assuring gaming operations are compliant with casino internal controls to maintain the integrity and protection of casino assets. Investigates and reports any exceptions found.
- Assists the Revenue Auditors, as needed, with daily duties. Leads the audit team in meeting department goals, timelines, and plans by directing and coordinating daily audit functions.
- Assists the Accounting Department, as necessary, in coordinating all revenue journal entries at end of month and end of year.
- Evaluates staff and team performance, makes recommendations for personnel actions, and resolves team concerns, problems, or conflicts.
- Prepares monthly and special reports upon requests by casino management and other departments including performance summaries, analysis, and reconciliations.
- Maintains necessary internal controls in compliance with the Tribal gaming regulations.
- Establishes and maintains audit files and records.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Indicate if Qualification is Required or Preferred):
Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
1. Education: High School diploma or equivalent, required. 2-year degree in business or accounting, preferred.
2. Work Experience:
a. Minimum 5 years’ experience in supervisory and/or auditor role in a gaming facility, required. Native Gaming is preferred.
3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
a. Must have comprehensive knowledge of gaming systems audit procedures and point-of-sale systems.
b. Must have extensive knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
c. Must have excellent communication (verbal, written) skills throughout all levels of an organization. Experience writing policies and procedures, preferred.
d. Must have strong organization and planning skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, and be able to manage multiple job duties and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with deadline pressures.
e. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, relevant audit software, required. Familiarity with casino management software systems, preferred.
f. Must be able to operate a 10-key by touch and have familiarity with standard office equipment.
g. Must possess the ability to interact with guests and team members at all levels of the organization professionally and be able to speak in front of small groups.

7. Must participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
8. Must be able to communicate and interact with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Management in a professional and courteous manner.
9. Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as deemed necessary.
10. Must be able to comply with all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
