POSITION: Lead Officer/Corporal
WAGE: $18/HOUR
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for properly executing Security duties on assigned shift to adequately protect welfare of Guests, Team Members, Vendors and Casino property while exhibiting excellent Guest service to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel Team Members and Guests. Ensures all Team Members and Guest comply with all Tribal, State, Federal and Casino regulations and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Protect an assigned area, including observing and reporting of unusual, dangerous, illegal or suspicious activities.
- Perform Supervisor duties, as required.
- Thoroughly and accurately write reports of internal, illegal or injury related matters, escorts of money, and other important documentation as required.
- Patrol assigned work areas and assist Guests and other Team Members as needed.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are performed, as required.
- Routinely practice observation of area and people for safety and security, report potential concerns to appropriate individuals for proper resolution.
- Safely operate company vehicles when directed to do so.
- Provide excellent Guest Service.
- Responsible for facilitating department required on-the-job training.
- Plan and administer the on-the-job training program.
- Respond to emergency incidents in a professional and timely manner, de-escalate tense situations with Guests and Team Members, and ensure proper and appropriate handling by CCCH and adequate documentation is recorded.
- Security Lead Officers and above are strongly encouraged to improve annually in leadership, supervisory and security skills. This may be completed through in-house development courses, outside courses or documented self-development courses.
- Perform all duties of the Security Officer III.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
1. Education:
a. High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience, required.
2. Work Experience:
a. Minimum 6 months’ experience in Security and/or Law Enforcement, or Military in the past 5 years or any combination thereof.
b. 1 years’ experience in Security preferred.
3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
a. Able to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
b. Good organizational and planning skills.
c. Present self in a well-groomed, professional appearance.
d. Maintain professional composure in a fast-pace, stress effectively.
e. Computer literate in Word and Excel to generate reports and other correspondence.
4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
a. Able to pass a Title 4 background check per ARS 4-112.G (12)
b. Certified in CPR/First aid license within 180 days of hire and maintain.
5. Be at least 18 years of age.
6. Able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.
7. Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
8. Adhere to the Department's Code of Ethics.
