Position Overview
Cliff Drysdale Tennis is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Tennis/Pickleball Program Director to lead our dynamic team at the Mauna Lani Sports Club, recognized as one of the top 10 racquet resorts in the world.
The ideal candidate is passionate about both sports and has a proven track record in coaching, player development, and program growth. This role involves coaching guests and members of all ages and skill levels, organizing clinics, events, and tournaments, and driving the expansion of our racquets programming at the resort. We are looking for candidates who are positive, adaptable, and strong communicators, with the ability to work in team settings.

Essential Duties
- Oversee the development, growth, and promotion of racquets programs, implementing new clinics, events, and competitive opportunities.
- Organizing and overseeing junior events at Mauna Lani including USTA/UTR competitions.
- Build and maintain a personal clientele for private lessons.
- Collaborate with the Director of Racquets to schedule and approve all events and promotions at least two weeks in advance.
- Promote and conduct tennis and pickleball clinics, private lessons, special events, and programs to engage and retain members and guests.
- Attend staff meetings and work closely with facility managers to ensure alignment and continued growth of the club.
- Market member events and programs through email, text, newsletters, and flyer distribution.
- Coordinate with local schools to offer taster sessions and expand community outreach.
- Supervise play and ensure proper collection of fees.
- Enforce all club rules and regulations regarding facility use, equipment, and property.
- Perform racquet stringing (preferred but not required).
- Respond promptly and professionally to member and guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety practices.
- Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience required (resort coaching experience preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience teaching tennis and pickleball lessons to adults and juniors of various levels.
- Playing ability of 5.0 USTA and above preferred.
- Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Occasionally sits.
- Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds, occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
- Noise level is moderate.
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the staff may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment used are in English)
- Minimum 5.0 USTA rating or equivalent skill level.
- Basic computer and email skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.
- Strong ability to build positive relationships with members and team members.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
- Effective time management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of tennis and pickleball, including teaching styles and techniques.

Salary : $45 - $50
