Clifford Farmers Elevator has an excellent opportunity for you. We are looking for an Ag Equipment Operator. This is a full-time position with benefits and acre incentives. You will operate application equipment and assist with a variety of tasks in a professional manner and promote a positive image of yourself and the co-op. You must have a pleasant attitude, be helpful, and be willing to work the hours required by the seasonal nature of our business.
Locations: Galesburg, Hunter, and Mayville, North Dakota
Purpose of this Position: This position completes a variety of tasks related to operating a full-service cooperative as assigned by your supervisor. Depending on the time of year and the needs of each department, you will move between our grain, agronomy, and propane departments while focusing on operating dry and liquid application equipment during the growing season. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain/Maintain current North Dakota Commercial Applicators License
- Mix, load, and apply fertilizer and chemicals according to labels and applicable rules.
- Inspect and verify that application equipment is in good working order.
- Perform basic maintenance of equipment such as adjusting, greasing, and oil and filter changes.
- Perform housekeeping inside and outside all facilities as assigned.
- Complete safety reports and record keeping as assigned.
- Follow all company policies and procedures and attend safety training as required.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek guidance to correct unsafe actions or conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned and work extended hours as needed to meet seasonal needs.
Basic Qualifications: (required)
- High school diploma or GED. Basic understanding of units of measure. Ounces, Pints, Quarts, etc.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and complete other physically strenuous activities when needed.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures with the proper protective equipment.
- Ability and willingness to work long hours at times to meet business demands.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and random screenings once employed.
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
- Ability to obtain a North Dakota Class A CDL with tank and hazmat endorsements.
- Custom applicators license.
