Clifford Farmers Elevator has an excellent opportunity for you. We are looking for an Operations Associate. This is a full-time position with benefits. You will assist with a variety of tasks in a professional manner and promote a positive image of yourself and the co-op. You must have a pleasant attitude, be helpful, and be willing to work the hours required by the seasonal nature of our business.
Locations: Clifford, Galesburg, Mayville, Hunter, Hope and Gardner, North Dakota
Purpose of this Position: This position completes a variety of tasks related to operating a full-service cooperative as assigned by your supervisor. Depending on the time of year and the needs of each department, you will move between our grain, agronomy, and propane departments and between locations.
Responsibilities:
- Treat patrons in a courteous and professional matter.
- Load and unload trucks as directed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify that equipment and support vehicles are in good working order.
- Perform warehouse work to include driving loader, operating forklift, and loading products once trained.
- Perform routine housekeeping inside and outside all facilities.
- Complete safety reports and perform various other record keeping duties as assigned.
- Follow all company policies and procedures and attend safety training as required.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek guidance to correct them.
- Learn new skills, perform duties as assigned, and work extended hours as needed to meet our seasonal needs.
Basic Qualifications: (required)
- Willingness to work and learn.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and complete other physically strenuous activities.
- Ability to work in dusty and adverse weather conditions with the proper protective equipment and the ability to work long hours as required by the seasonal nature of our business.
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol screenings.
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
- Having a valid ND driver's license is preferred but not required.
- Experience related to agriculture is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to train for and attain a Class A CDL and custom applicator’s license is preferred but not required.
