Position Overview
The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the daily operations, upkeep, and excellence of the golf course, ensuring an unparalleled playing experience for members and guests. Reporting to the Club General Manager, this role requires expertise in turf management, irrigation systems, equipment maintenance, budgeting, and staff leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily maintenance and conditioning of the golf course.
- Manage and train a dedicated team of turf professionals.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets for maintenance and operations.
- Ensure proper care of equipment, irrigation, and turf systems.
- Work closely with the Club General Manager and Head Golf Professional to uphold the highest standards of excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or in a senior turf management role.
- Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, agronomy, and irrigation systems.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
- Budgeting experience and the ability to manage resources effectively.
- Passion for conservation and sustainable golf course management.
