Primary Purpose:
Responsible for directing and managing district’s transportation operations and custodial services.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED
- Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements or ability to obtain a CDL
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budget, personnel and employee work schedules
- Ability to direct and manage operations of a fleet of vehicles
- Willingness to drive a route if needed
- Ability to complete required reports and TCEQ testing requirements
- Knowledge of routine custodial practices
- Ability to maintain supply lists and order supplies when needed
- Knowledge of equipment, chemicals and materials used in cleaning processes
Experience:
- Experience in a public-school setting preferred, but not required
