Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Golf Shop Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests while assisting with the sales of golf merchandise and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries regarding golf merchandise and services.
- Sell golf equipment, apparel, and accessories while effectively upselling products to enhance the customer experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions and manage cash handling procedures.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing shop environment by restocking merchandise and ensuring displays are well-presented.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular inventory counts.
- Provide information about golf course facilities, events, and promotions to enhance customer engagement.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred; experience in a golf shop or grocery store setting is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for handling transactions and performing retail math calculations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; training will be provided if necessary.
- A passion for golf is highly desirable, along with knowledge of golf equipment and apparel.
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $17.19 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
