Shipping and Receiving Clerk (CSC-1099)

What you’ll Do/Need (Job Summary):  Responsible primarily for the packaging and shipment of goods to customers.    

Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)

·       Ensure that the paperwork and goods being shipped are accurate and per the customers’ order in all respects.

·       Verify all loaded orders are on proper Carriers/Proper Destinations

·       Perform Shipment Transactions within Epicor, Echo & any other Logistics Systems in used as required

·       Ensure that packaging is done to a consistent professional standard and/or that meets customer’s unique requirements where such exists but that also emphasizes the CSC brand.  

·       Ensure that freight costs being passed on to customers are forwarded to Accounting in timeous manner.

·       Work with production leaders to pull material into packaging/shipping in order to help drive on time shipments.

·       Perform Dock Audits for all outgoing shipments

·       Occasional Shift change required to provide for Employee vacation Coverage

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)

·       Entry Level Position; Although 1-2 Years of Logistics/Shipping Experience preferred

·       Forklift/Tow Motor Experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment

·       This job operates in a factory environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

·       While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

·       This is a part-time position, with occasional 40-hour work weeks. Days and hours of typical work week are Monday through Thursday, 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Given the nature of this position some work days may require staying past 8:00pm typical end time. Occasional Shift change to a 40-hour work week of M-F, 1^st Shift (7am to 3pm) will be required to provide for Employee vacation Coverage.

Travel

·       This position requires minimal travel.

Salary : $17 - $22
