About the role:
CLA is looking to hire an investment lab associate.
This job can be done in either the Madison, WI or Minneapolis, MN CLA office.
This role works closely with Wealth Advisors and CLA clients to build customized portfolios using public and private solutions, drive platform consistency and drive portfolio thought leadership. They enhance the portfolio analytics capabilities of the Lab and help design an institutional quality, client-friendly reporting. Additionally, they partner with key stakeholders to update and implement CLA’s Total Return Portfolios using internal and external portfolio research – and will help with the risk management of these portfolios.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design customized, outcome-oriented portfolios for CLA Wealth Advisory clients, using CLA’s proprietary analytics platform
- Enhance CLA’s portfolio analytics offering by developing new functionality to deliver better portfolio proposals, stress test potential risks and create a robust output template
- Commercialize CLA’s Total Return Portfolio and asset allocation narrative with advisors and key stakeholders – through webinars, blog posts and client presentations
- Assist other areas of the Investment Team which may include Trading and Due Diligence
Requirements:
Experience:
2 years of experience in Investments/ Solutions / Product / Risk Management/ Research/ Quant roles within investment management, investment consulting required.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Certifications / Licenses:
Progress towards CFA designation and/or CAIA designation, Series 7/65

The wage range for this position in Minnesota is: $54,000– $80,000
Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
