Job Title: Network Hardware Quality Assurance Tester
Work Location : Menlo Park, CA (5 days onsite)
Contract duration: 12 months Contract
W2 only
Job Description:
- Responsibilities to include but not be limited to the following:
- Design, develop and execute test plans for networking equipment, features, and systems
- Testing would include: new hardware (i.e. Cisco, Juniper, etc), hardware and network features, known bugs and fixes, uncover new issues, and firmware updates
- Testing lifecycle would include: understanding new business requests and requirements, define use cases, document test scenarios, create a test plan, execute tests, and report results test execution and report results
- Lab Setup would include: deploying infrastructure, work with cross functional partners for hardware installation and end customer device setup in order to test end to end
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation including network diagrams, device configurations, along with testing required documentation
- Release management: Manage the timelines and calendar for test phases and deployments, align with vendor release schedule for service releases
- Report: Share release plans, dates, duration, test execution plans and status
- Create Wikis (i.e with GenAI) documenting roadmaps, release planning and test results, possibly with corresponding vendors
- Recommended Qualifications:
- Experience with Network Engineering Quality Assurance Testing
- Release tracking and roadmap feature documentation
- Experience on testing multi vendor environments
- Excellent communication skills and team work experience
- Experience in bug scrub, bug tracking, feature tracking, roadmaps and deployment plans
- Network Hardware Quality Assurance Tester
- Experience with programming languages, Python specifically
- Recommended certifications: CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, JNCIA, CTFL
- Ability to troubleshoot IP networks, familiarity with routers, switches and standard IP protocol analyzers
