What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumber position at Climate Control Company?
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORAD AND WOULD REQUIRE RELOCATION TO THE AREA.
JOB DESCRIPTION : The Plumber is responsible to ensure the on-time, high-quality installation and repairs of pipes, fittings, hydronic systems, and HVAC equipment installs according to specifications and code.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering
- Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures
- Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures instructions using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.
- Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters or pipe-threading machines
- Install pipe, fittings, valves, hydronics and HVAC equipment, using the required tools.
- Follow applicable codes for all associated equipment
- Gather equipment and part information and perform associated start up
- Cooperate with other trades on the project to complete the project
- Keep physical jobsite organized and tidy to ensure a safe professional work area.
- Maintain knowledge of local / national codes and industry standards.
- Ensure that all necessary inspections are made through all phases of work.
- Safely operate and maintain company equipment as well as monitoring the use and timely return of rented equipment
- Assist, manage and train other Apprentice mechanics as required
- Assist with equipment installations as required
