Qualifications
Minimum high school graduate
Knowledge of heating and ventilating systems
Knowledge of air compressors, belts, air filters
One year preventive maintenance or plumbing experience
Valid Mississippi Motor Vehicle Operator’s license
Must be insurable by the company that provides insurance for all Jackson Public School drivers
Must maintain operational residence telephone
Ability to climb and work from scaffolds
Pass drug screening test as outlined by district policy.

Plumbing Supervisor
Supervises
Any trades helper assigned to the department
Job Goal
To insure that all mechanical systems are maintained in safe and efficient operating condition for use by all personnel.
Essential Functions
Performs preventive maintenance on designated mechanical equipment.
Replaces filters on designated equipment.
Replaces belts, lubricates, and cleans designated equipment.
Maintains adequate record of work performed.
Inventories and tags designated mechanical equipment.
Operates high-pressure washer and sand blaster.
Exercises proper safety precautions during performance of daily job assignments.
Maintains tools, vehicles, and associated equipment in safe and secure operating condition.
Responds to calls after hours when needed.
Assists members of the department and members of other departments when needed.
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
Evaluation
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
