We are looking for a Residential Lending Assistant. This role supports the assigned loan officer in processing and managing residential loan applications and ensures a smooth and efficient loan process.

- Assist the loan officer in collecting and reviewing loan applications and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on loan status.
- Verify and validate borrower information, including income, credit history, and employment details.
- Prepare and submit loan files to Underwriting for approval.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely processing and closing of loans.
- Maintain accurate and organized loan files and records.
- Manage the lender's loan pipeline and ensure accurate status tracking on all prospects and pending loans.
- Respond to client inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a residential lending environment required.
- A resourceful self-starter with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to anticipate needs and effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software.
- Sustained standing and sitting;
- Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor;
- Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
