Your Impact (Responsibilities)
We are looking for a Computational Research Engineer experienced with translating novel computational algorithms and approaches into working initial implementations. You will partner directly with the Chief Technologist to explore the next generation of innovations necessary to accelerate the transition to a reliable, decarbonized grid through complex simulation and optimization technology. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced research environment to methodically prototype to test ideas and theories. You will play a key role in building out the future technology roadmap, including tasks such as :
- Designing and implementing software experiments to evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness and correctness of innovative approaches to complex problems
- Build performant and high-capacity prototypes utilizing the latest algorithmic, software, and cloud technologies
- Working with other members of the team to understand problem characteristics, present research findings, and determine direction for future research
