What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Legal Counsel position at Climate Pros?
Climate Pros is seeking an attorney who wants to learn and grow with this dynamic business. As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with our business leaders. In addition, this position is responsible for identifying and administrating other legal matters or risks at Climate Pros and developing as a generalist attorney capable of supporting the legal needs of the business. Responsibilities :
- Drafting and Reviewing Contracts : Create, review, and revise several types of legal contracts, including customer contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and other legal documents.
- Negotiation : At the direction of business, negotiate contract terms with clients, vendors, and other parties to ensure favorable terms for the organization and compliance with applicable laws.
- Legal Advice : Provide legal advice on contract interpretation and obligations, identifying risks to the company and providing reasonable solutions to those risks.
- Administration of Litigation Actions : Administration of any potential claims made, or actions filed against company for employment, contract, or other civil claims.
- Compliance : Ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations. Identify other areas of compliance that the company must adhere to and provide advice on how to ensure compliance.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential legal risks within contractual agreements and other legal matters.
- Record Keeping : Maintain organized records of executed contracts and related documents.
- Other : Matters or projects requiring legal review or input as required.
