Job Description
The warehouse associate is responsible for the proper warehousing of project material. This includes but is not limited to receiving shipments, documenting received material, assigning locations to received material in the warehouse, pulling material from the warehouse in preparation for shipment or pickup by others, driving to and dropping off deliveries as needed to job sites and customers and operating the lift used in these activities. This person will work with project managers to ensure their project material is accurately documented for receipts and distribution. This person will also work with the office management in coordinating and forecasting warehouse space needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures effective utilization of warehouse area and observes proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of all project material to prevent damage, avoid material loss while avoiding accidents and occupational hazards.
- Inventory all received material is Identify missing items to the assigned project manager.
- Effectively monitors the flow of project material in and out of the warehouse area
- Coordinate with project managers for material deliveries to customers, contractors and job sites
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse at all times.
- Ensures accuracy of all project material documentation that is received into the warehouse and distributed from the warehouse.
- Performs random project inventory to check status of documentation
- Ensure that Climatec safety policies are followed by all Climatec employees and subcontractors entering the warehouse area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Strong basic math skills, with an ability to perform accurate calculations for inventory and shipping.
- Experience in making deliveries and ensuring timely and secure transport of materials.
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to create and maintain documentation efficiently.
- Proficiency in identifying parts and part numbers.
- 3 years' experience in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems, components, and related materials.
- Proven experience in inventory management, including accurate tracking, stocking, and reporting.
- Prior hands-on experience with material handling processes such as purchasing, receiving, warehousing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Mechanically inclined, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn HVAC and Special Systems parts and concepts.
- Skilled in operating pallet jacks and other standard warehouse equipment
- Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Be able to spend significant time standing and walking in a warehouse.
- Be able to carry move and carry loads that could weigh up to 80lbs.
- Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day.
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy.
