POSITION SUMMARY
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for establishing, managing, and executing sourcing strategies for ClimateMaster. This key role will be responsible for building and sustaining strategic supplier relationships, driving contract, and bidding management processes, and coordinating category spend. This includes the identification of year over year productivity opportunities, strategic direction, as well as identifying material, service, and operational improvements.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Leads Supplier Relationship Management, Quarterly Business Reviews, and contract negotiations
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP / MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment. AS400 experience preferred
- Proactively identifies, leverages, and implements metrics and other tools to drive supplier performance improvements
- Utilizes quantitative and analytical skills to assess business situations and solve problems
- Experience and ability to contribute in a cross-functional collaborative environment
- Demonstrated data driven approach to solving problems and scenario planning
- Conducts fact-based analysis that drive creative problem solving, proposal preparation, negotiation, and implementation
- Leads benchmarking activities of industry best practices and other initiatives to achieve cost savings and increased quality
- Leads the supplier evaluation and selection process
- Ensure smooth product launches by controlling the acquisition, sourcing on time, in line with cost targets
- Improves working capital through optimum payment terms
- Initiate and support of proper Make or Buy decisions
- Initiate and support continuous improvement activities such as VAVE
- Manage suppliers within the given programs (Request for Quotes RFQ, change management, contract negotiations, payment queries, dispute resolutions etc.)
- Support to implement strategies and actions to reduce suppliers, in line with agreed targets
- Lead implementation of Global Commodity strategies including domestic stocking programs
- Lead accurate and timely reporting of key measurables
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline is required. MBA preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years Strategic Sourcing or relevant Supply Chain experience in management of materials required. Specific HVAC category sourcing experience preferred.
Computer Skills : Skilled with Warehouse Management Systems and ERP / MRP systems (AS400 / PRMS a plus), MS Office suite including high proficiency with Excel.
Certificates & Licenses : APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent certifications a plus.
Other Requirements : Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment required. Supplier management and contract negotiation experience required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Must have experience as a self-directed, technical leader and problem solver with the ability to handle multiple daily priorities in a fast-paced environment to achieve results. Ability to lead and develop people utilizing excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
