What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOOD SERVICE LEAD MANAGER position at CLIMAX-SCOTTS COMMUNITY SCHOOLS?
Climax-Scotts is hiring a Food Service Manager for Climax-Scotts Elementary School. The hours would be 8:00am-1:30pm each school day. We strive to serve students attractive, and nutritious meals in a clean, warm, and welcoming kitchen. The qualifications are good health, excellent relationships with staff and students; specific skills in the area of food preparation, including menu marketing, supervision, and bookkeeping. A dependable attendance record is required. The new employee must have good personal hygiene, a professional appearance, strong decision-making skills and a positive attitude is a must.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Maintains the highest standard of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen. Must be ServSafe Certified.
- Reviews the menu and determines the quantities of each food to be prepared daily to meet meal pattern requirements set by the USDA.
- Orders all necessary supplies on a weekly basis and sends it to the Food Service Director.
- Confers with the Food Service Director regarding any personnel issues and malfunctioning equipment.
- Reports to the Food Service Director regarding any faulty or inferior quality food which is received.
- Must keep accurate production records and required documentation of all food, beverages and supplies consumed or leaving the kitchen.
- Responsible for checking in and taking care of GFS deliveries.
- Stay up to date on trainings and CEU credits yearly.
