Description
To direct the operations of a medium sized, remote Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans. The Branch Manager is responsible for participating in the development and implementation of organizational strategic plans, as well as overseeing strategic sales for the assigned branch in order to generate loan growth and increase revenues. This position promotes and participates in direct sale of credit union products and services as well as developing membership growth through new and existing accounts. The Branch Manager suggests changes in sales tactics designed to increase markets and market share. This position insures the branch complies with all regulations. The Branch Manager participates in management of credit union as a member of the mid management team and interacts with senior management. Exhibits thorough knowledge of credit union products and services and displays exceptional cross selling and service skills. The Branch Manager also performs functionality related to Human Resource functions; hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, discipline, and termination. The Branch Manager must be able to work independently and cohesively with a team.

Requirements
- Underwrites consumer loans up to the amount assigned per Credit Union policy; reviews and approves underwriting decisions of subordinate personnel.
- Hires, reviews, schedules, trains, and monitors the work of branch personnel: conducts performance reviews; allocates resources to meet operational needs within the department; reviews and approves, denies, or modifies department recommendations from subordinates.
- Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
- Maintains communications with Corporate office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
- Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions and similar groups.
- Assist the Collection Department in resolving past due and charged off accounts for the branch.
- Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of similar or related experience.
- Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
- 1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting annual pay of $73,000.00, depending on experience, education and qualifications.
