Communicate with the Programs Director and General Manager regarding any program needs

Advocate for the gym, its staff, and its product offerings inside and outside the facility

Maintain an intermediate to advanced level of fitness and climbing ability
Responsibilities
-
Conduct lead and top rope climbing and belay lessons while displaying the utmost level of expertise, knowledge of best practices, and adherence to Climb policies
-
Provide climbing and belay test-outs to Climb customers with a strict adherence to Climb’s policies and attention to customer service
-
Assume a leadership role in Climb’s community. Work hard to be present, build connections between community members and the instruction department and community members
-
Use heightened levels of experience and climbing knowledge to provide high levels of instruction to clients of all ability levels through private lessons
Hours

This position is hourly
-
Must be available to work most weekday evenings, some weekdays, and occasional weekends
Required Qualifications
-
USA Climbing safesport certification
-
CPR/FA Certification
-
Thorough understanding of climbing processes, procedures, equipment, safety, and risk management
-
5 years of climbing experience
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk on uneven surfaces
-
Must maintain a reliable mode of transportation
Desired Qualifications
-
AMGA Climbing Wall Instructor certification with lead endorsements
-
AMGA Single Pitch Instructor certification
-
Wilderness First Responder Certification or Wilderness First Aid certification
-
Ability to climb 5.12 and V7
-
Outdoor guiding experience
-
Experience working with youth and large groups
-
Experience offering climbing lessons/training to groups or individuals
-
Team building experience
-
Experience in fitness, climbing, or training programming
