JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The role is responsible for managing the assigned Climbing Kites territory, working closely with the Regional Distribution Manager, wholesalers, and their sales teams to drive sales, strengthen the Climbing Kites brand, and meet distribution and volume targets. The position also involves building and maintaining professional relationships with key retailers and distributors to ensure ongoing growth and success in the market.
Essential Functions
Upholds Climbing Kites’ Core Values, Purpose, and Philosophies in all actions and decisions.
- Fosters strong communication and maintains positive relationships with the Regional Distribution Manager, wholesaler sales teams, and key retail partners.
- Develops and manages quarterly target lists aligned with sales goals and objectives.
- Completes scheduled “work withs” alongside the Climbing Kites team and wholesaler partners.
- Actively participates in strategic market initiatives to support sales to key retailers within the assigned territory.
- Analyzes sales opportunities using VIP software or other provided sales tools to identify growth potential.
- Delivers continuous brand training to retail partners, distributors, and consumers.
- Assists with special events and festivals within the territory to enhance brand visibility.
- Handles administrative duties, including but not limited to expense budgets and reports, monthly work calendar, setting distribution targets, evaluating discount programs, and conducting price surveys.
- Maintains a professional image and conduct at all times, representing the brand.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Qualifications
Reside within the designated market area for which the Field Sales Manager is responsible.
- Possess a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector, with a preference for experience with beverage wholesalers or suppliers.
- Strong understanding of the craft beer industry, market trends, and retail consumer behavior.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
- Confident in public speaking and able to deliver engaging presentations.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, along with three years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment
This position functions within a professional work environment.
Work will primarily occur in a home office, in a vehicle, or out in the field.
Regular visits to retail accounts, both on-premise and off-premise, will be necessary.
Physical Demands
Extended periods of sitting at a desk or workstation, typically for 6-8 hours a day. Prolonged exposure to computer screens. Extended periods of standing or sitting as it relates to events.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position estimating 40 hours of work.
