JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary / Objective
The Regional Distribution Manager operates within the designated Climbing Kites territory, collaborating closely with the Director of Business Development, Director of Operations, Field Sales Managers, National Account Managers, Consultant Partners, Wholesalers, and their sales teams to drive sales, enhance the Climbing Kites brand, and meet distribution and volume targets. All efforts must align with Climbing Kites' core values, mission, and guiding philosophies.
Essential Functions
Maintaining constant communication and positive relationships with the National Sales Director of Business Development, Director of Operations, Key Account Managers, Field Sales Managers, Consultant Partners, Key Wholesaler personnel, and Key Retailers.
Managing wholesaler relationships and planning.
Managing inventory, including orders, forecasts, allocations, and wholesaler warehouse audits.
Managing and reporting an expense budget within the given parameters.
Handling POS management, from ordering to execution in the market.
Leading Annual Business Planning and conducting monthly / quarterly reviews with wholesalers within the identified area.
Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing both new and existing Field Sales Managers, while managing their performance and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Analyzing sales opportunities using VIP or other sales software.
Conducting ongoing brand training for wholesaler partners, retailers and consumers.
Ensuring proper execution of chain programming and distribution at both retailer and wholesaler levels.
Assisting at special events and festivals in the territory.
Performing assigned administrative tasks, including but not limited to expense reports, monthly work calendar, establishing distribution targets, evaluating discount programs, and conducting price surveys.
Conducting “work withs” alongside direct reports and wholesaler partners.
Engaging regularly in strategic market visits to support sales efforts with key retailers in the territory.
Additional duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
Reside in the designated market area for which the Regional Distribution Manager is responsible.
Possess a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Minimum of three years of experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector, with a preference for experience with beverage wholesalers or suppliers.
In-depth knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, and its retail consumers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and / or Google Workspace.
Dynamic public speaking and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, along with three years of relevant experience and / or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment
This position functions within a professional work environment.
Work will primarily occur in a home office, in a vehicle, or out in the field.
Regular visits to retail accounts, both on-premise and off-premise, will be necessary.
Physical Demands
Extended periods of sitting at a desk or workstation, typically for 6-8 hours a day. Prolonged exposure to computer screens. Extended periods of standing or sitting as it relates to events. The employee must be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.
