We are seeking a motivated and skilled Energy Engineer to join our team, working exclusively on-site at our client’s facility in Wilmington, MA. This role focuses on identifying and delivering cost and carbon savings through the optimization of electrical energy systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the facility operates efficiently and sustainably by leading energy management initiatives and executing small-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Systems Optimization:
Analyze, monitor, and improve energy performance across systems including Medium Voltage Distribution, Low Voltage (LV) Systems, utility systems, and metering infrastructure.
Project Delivery:
Lead small projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Energy Management:
Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives, including optimization of processes, identification of inefficiencies, and exploration of renewable energy opportunities.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Utilize metering and measurement systems to collect data, conduct energy performance analyses, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Cost and Carbon Reduction:
Identify strategies and implement solutions to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions, contributing to the facility’s sustainability goals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate closely with on-site teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of energy initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
1–5 years of professional experience with:
Medium Voltage Distribution systems
Low Voltage (LV) Systems
Utility systems
Metering and measurement systems
Managing small energy projects
Strong understanding of energy management and optimization principles.
Proficiency in energy monitoring tools and systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience in carbon reduction initiatives and sustainability projects.
Knowledge of energy management standards (e.g., ISO 50001) is an advantage.
Familiarity with energy modeling tools and simulation software.
