Position Summary :
Under the direction of the Leader of Imaging Services, Radiologist NM Lead Technologist and Supervisor, the technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs all activities in an ethical and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Essential job functions are the fundamental job duties of the employment position.
Qualifications
Education : Must have successfully passed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and have completed two (2) years of training in a formal accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required. CPR certification. Registered A.R.R.T. or registry eligible. Cross training as appropriate.
Degree of Supervision Required : Under periodic supervision performs routine tasks in Radiology Department. Technologist performs X-ray procedures in Operating Room and portable exams on the Nursing Units. Performs exams with C-arm and must know sterile techniques. This position requires knowledge of growth and development needs of patients and families. Personnel in this position must recognize and respond to the behaviors of patients and families in each age category.
