Patient Safety and Health Information Manager
Clinch Valley Medical Center is seeking an experienced Patient Safety and Health Information Manager to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and evaluation of healthcare quality and safety programs, collaborating with various teams to improve patient outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and guidelines related to patient safety and health information management, as well as conducting risk analysis and ensuring compliance with health regulations. You will also educate staff on risk awareness and prevention, confidentiality, and appropriate documentation, and understand and follow safety and security procedures.
Additional responsibilities include mediating patient and employee complaints and investigations, coordinating quarterly rural health audits, and maintaining records for RHC state surveyors. You will also notify operations teams, risk managers, and legal counsel of potential litigation or malpractice claims, and review medical records for liability issues.
