What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Specialist position at Cline Fire?
As a Support Specialist at Cline Fire, you will be responsible for providing customer support, technical support, and operational support to both customers and employees, both individually and as a small team.
Specific Responsibilities:
Customer Support
Provide customer service for incoming customer calls:
- Serve as the primary customer point of contact - answering phones, responding to emails, greeting in-person visitors
- Place monitoring accounts on test
- Answer customer questions
- Respond to customer requests for reports, account updates, and other similar requests
Provide customer service with outgoing calls:
- Place follow-up calls for service, inspection, and installation work to verify customer satisfaction
- Contact customers to inquire about updates to proposals, account information, and contracting status
Review daily monitoring reports and contact customers showing alarms and/or troubles to resolve issues
Technical Support
- Place accounts on test when requested by technicians
- Create new accounts in monitoring software
- Update monitoring account information
Operational Support
- Coordinate new customer inspection and/or monitoring contracts in support of sales team
- Update customer records as needed
- Maintain customer files and paperwork in filing cabinets
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook capabilities
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a position with varying day-to-day demands
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on an hourly wage for actual time worked with an hour unpaid lunch. Pay for wages and benefits will be issued fortnightly through company payroll. This position is eligible for PTO and holiday pay in accordance with Cline Fire’s policies and the health insurance and company-matched retirement plan offered by Cline Fire, but no additional benefits or compensations, whether directly stated or implied.
