Job Title: Medical Scribe

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will work closely with healthcare providers to document patient encounters in real time, ensuring accurate and timely medical records. This role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately document patient history, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Transcribe physician-patient encounters, including procedures, orders, and follow-up care
• Assist in organizing and managing patient medical data for accuracy and efficiency
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and medical documentation standards
• Perform clerical tasks such as managing referrals, scheduling follow-ups, and processing paperwork as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting (Required)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems (Preferred)
• Knowledge of eClinicalWorks system (EMR) (Highly recommended)
• Strong typing speed and accuracy
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Metrics experience highly recommended
• Proficiency in basic medical terminology and computer skills.
