Clinical Alliance Services, LLC is a group practice serving the Cambridge and greater Boston communities. We offer individual, couples and group therapy to adults of all ages. Our treatment model is heavily influenced by culturally informed relational psychodynamic and attachment-based treatment approaches, although our clinical team is trained in a variety of other treatment approaches. Our practice is seeking to hire a full-time Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow for the 2024-2025 academic year with an optional second year as full staff clinician with commensurate salary. Part-time position may be considered for the right candidate. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology or Psy.D. from an academic program accredited by the American Psychological Association by their start date. Candidates must also be eligible to take the EPPP and Massachusetts state jurisprudence exam within one year of initiating the Postdoctoral Fellowship.
Three or more years of adult outpatient treatment (psychotherapy) experience is required, as well as demonstrated multicultural competence. Candidates with training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and/or with college student populations are strongly encouraged to apply, as are candidates with experience in working with diverse client populations.
Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for providing 24 billable psychotherapy sessions weekly to a caseload of clients participating in weekly or twice weekly psychotherapy. Individual and group clinical supervision will be provided by experienced staff clinicians. Postdoctoral Fellow may participate in in-house didactics and may opt to apply to training programs at local community psychoanalytic institutes. Guidance will be provided in applying to these programs and tuition expenses will be covered by Clinical Alliance Services, LLC. Optional training and supervision in psychodynamic couples psychotherapy is available.
Sample Postdoctoral Fellow's Schedule:
- Psychotherapy: Availability to schedule up to 30 hours per week, resulting in average of 24 billable sessions per week
- Clinical Documentation: Approximately 4 hours per week
- Individual Clinical Supervision: 2 hours per week
- Group Clinical Supervision: 1.5 hours per week
- Didactic Seminar (Optional): 1 hour per week
- Monthly Meetings with Director(s): .25 to .5 hours per week
- Community Psychoanalytic Institute Seminars (Optional): Time Commitment Varies
Postdoctoral Fellow will be a W-2 employee with full benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance and four weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO). Eligibility for 401K with employer match after one year of employment. Position will begin in Fall of 2024 with a two-day orientation in late August.
