Clinical Oncology Pharmacist Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to join our team at a leading acute care hospital in upstate New York.
About the Hospital
This academic teaching hospital is home to nearly 200 inpatient beds and offers a wide range of services, including cardiovascular, cancer care, and neurological services. Our cancer care team is composed of nationally accredited medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists along with trained oncology certified nurses. We have advanced diagnostic resources to help care for and treat various types of cancer.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings.
- Provide input to pharmacy and clinical leadership.
- Contribute to quality control initiatives.
- Supervise pharmacy support personnel.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize best clinical judgment.
Requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD level education.
- Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of New York or ability to obtain licensure.
- Prior working experience is preferred.
