A 250 bed hospital near Queens, New York, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director Clinical Pharmacy for a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Situated in one of New York’s most culturally diverse communities, this not-for-profit hospital offers a range of services, including Bariatric Surgery, Ambulatory Care, Women’s Health, Wound Care, and Chemical Dependence treatment.
The Assistant Director Clinical Pharmacy will collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy to coordinate staff and management functions, ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical services. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining departmental policies, monitoring pharmacy operations, managing resources within budget constraints, preparing performance evaluations, and maintaining current knowledge in institutional pharmacy practice. Additionally, the Assistant Director Clinical Pharmacy will act as a liaison with other departments and organizations, oversee scheduling and payroll, and serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved five/six-year college of pharmacy (an advanced degree preferred), have 5-10 years of hospital pharmacy management experience, and hold a current New York pharmacist license.
