Reporting directly to the Nurse Director of Stroke Program, the Assistant Nurse Director of Stroke Program must provide daily updates regarding the status of clinical actions occurring within the department to their superior and will be expected to collaborate with the Assistant Nurse Director of Stroke Program to ensure all rules and regulations are being followed. Serving as a clinical mentor to the Stroke Program Nurses, the Assistant Nurse Director of Stroke Program must be readily available to provide their assistance and guidance during any pressing and / or critical situation.
The Assistant Nurse Director of Stroke Program will be expected to manage and provide direct oversight to the stroke program department while their team performs various clinical assessments. Equipped with cutting-edge technology within their department, the Assistant Nurse Director of Stroke Program will be required to be well-versed in any and all clinical equipment utilized within their department. This individual will have 24 / 7 coverage of the department and must be easily accessible to offer their guidance and subject matter expertise. The Assistant Nurse Director of Stroke Program must be regularly informed regarding the care being administered with the short-stay unit, and must be able to highlight their team’s strengths, and pinpoint any weaknesses and provide the necessary training to address any matter.
