The Diagnostic Radiologist will provide a spectrum of image interpretation, image-guided procedures, and patient care services within the specialty of Diagnostic Radiology and may also possess additional subspecialty expertise. The Diagnostic Radiologist will have knowledge of advanced radiology equipment and software; adult and pediatric care, equipment, supplies, and practices; federal, state, local and accreditation laws, regulations, and standards.
The Diagnostic Radiologist will need to be proficient in general diagnostic radiology, ER and acute inpatient cases, with the efficiency to be able to read high volumes; using computers and related software applications; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; and ensuring the efficient, effective, and safe use of equipment.
The ideal Diagnostic Radiologist is a graduate from an accredited school of medicine with three (3) years of clinical practice experience as a radiologist. The Diagnostic Radiologist should have a valid License by the State of Nevada to practice medicine, and be board-certified by the American Board of Radiology / American Osteopathic Board of Radiology. Board certification in both Diagnostic and / or Interventional Radiology and active practice for three (3) years interpreting under various modalities, such as X-ray, Nuclear, and Mammo, is required.
