Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Manager of Health Information Management will oversee daily operations of the Health Information Management Department. They will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and departmental procedures. The Manager will be supported by a talented team of HIM Clerks and Medical Coders.
The Manager of Health Information Management will perform as the hospital’s HIPAA Privacy and Compliance Officer. They will assess medical records and identify learning needs as well as providing education and training designed to support a learning organization. They will also develop and implement facility-wide policies and procedures, conducting investigations, and identifying and resolving operational issues.
An experienced HIM Leader with their RHIT certification will surely make for a quick interview!
