A leading acute care hospital located in southern Connecticut is now seeking an experienced Educator Sterile Processing Department to join their award winning healthcare team.

The acute care hospital is home to more than 300 inpatient beds and provides a number of services including internal medicine, perioperative services, emergency and critical care, oncology, laboratory and imaging, women’s health, cardiology, and much more.
Reporting to the Manager of Sterile Processing, the Educator Sterile Processing Department will lead the educational programs, orientation, and in-service training for the central sterile department. Responsibilities include evaluating department needs, creating tailored educational programs, keeping current knowledge of sterilization best practices, leading new hire orientation and continued education, and assuming leadership responsibilities in absence of the Manager.
What’s Needed to Succeed :
- Current CRCST or IAHCSMM certification
- Progressive working experience in central sterile processing
- Prior experience in education or leadership
